Clark Construction (San Diego) wanted to integrate interactive screens into their onsite construction office and company conference rooms. Here are their two current projects:
In the trailers of an onsite build, they converted an existing angled drafting table into a large touch screen which they now use to interact with blueprint and drawing in BlueBeam PDF and AutoCAD software. A 65 inch LCD TV with a 65 Inch 6 Point Infrared Touch Frame was placed on top of some tempered glass as the touch surface. Pictures below:
They are also taking their two existing 52 inch LCDs in their conference room and adding a thin glass layer over each screen. For now, a 52 Inch 6 Point Infrared Touch Frame will be installed on only one screen, but in the future both may become interactive. The interactive screens will allow presenters to more easily explain the onscreen information to a large group.

I was contacted by Gagarin to consult on how to best build their newest table. They wanted a large low-profile circular table for easy access of all ages. The final design was a 1.6m diameter circular enclosed table, using a single projector and camera.
I was asked to create an interesting setup for the Glamour and Glow Black Light Fashion Show here locally in San Diego, so I made the first prototype of the Touch Frame Podiums that will soon be available for purchase on the Peau Productions Store. The modular metal frame contains an Infrared Touch Frame giving accurate control over whatever application was displayed by the projector. The application I created overlay some color-changing smoke onto a slideshow of video/images of the different brands supporting the event. Please watch the video below for more info.
I was contacted by RMD Group to help them complete an ambitious MT setup that they had been struggling with. After getting some vital parts from my store, I discussed with them over phone and Skype the best way to construct what their customer had asked for.
I was asked by the owner of realbox to fly over to India and help him start up his multitouch visualization business. The two week trip was full of building, running to the shops to buy supplies and troubleshooting. We built a few different setups including a 80 inch LLP wall and a 50 inch Rear DI standing table. My job was to consult on how to properly build the different MT setups so that when a customer came to them with ideas, they would know how to best build the final solution.
After a MT DJ video by Töken went viral, I've been contacted by many DJs to build them setups similar to his. I was contacted by Kick-Mix to build one for DJ performing on stage. I drove up to Los Angeles to their office and using parts from my store, built them a simple camera tracking-based touch surface. You can see a test video of the setup below. After testing it in the actual performing environment, they found that they needed a more robust system, so we had to upgrade to an infrared touch frame which uses no cameras (see info below).

DJ Kick Mix bought a 40" Infrared Touch Frame and upgraded his existing camera tracking screen. The result was exactly what he wanted; allowing his audience to see his software normally hidden on his comparatively small screened laptop, and giving him full touch control of the music mixing. With his new screen he launched his recent Video Dance Party tour which has been well received.

Oceans contacted me to help start up their MT marketing division in 2009. After traveling here to our San Diego office, they bought two setups from us, a 50 inch standing table and a 50 inch vertical kiosk system. With the help of Titan Gaming, software was also developed for Oceans.
The video production studio of Pinstripe Design contacted me through the NUI Group Forum to help them with their newest installation. The current plans had been to create a large wall composed of 6 projection screens (2 high, 3 wide), with the bottom row to be multitouch. Many ideas were thrown around but they didn't want to use lasers for an LLP setup, so they ultimately decided to just turn their conference window into a multitouch monitor instead.

My name is Nolan Ramseyer and I live in San Diego, California in the United States.
I began researching multitouch and visual interactions back in 2008 after stumbling upon the NUI Group Forum. At that time there were far less posts than there are now, and as I read the information, I realized that I was very interested and wanted to contribute to the community.
At that time I was in college and had a very low budget, so I started with a small 17 inch LCD LED-LP setup. It was a great learning experience for how LCD panels work, the dangers in taking them apart, and how to setup a multitouch interaction environment. The small size of the table allowed me to bring it places and to also keep it next to my desk as I began to learn AS3/Flash with TUIO communications.
My endeavors into visual coding and multitouch was an exciting time for me as it was the first time that I was able to get an interactive product so quickly from simple lines of code. When I implemented some 3D Flash libraries, my imagination ran wild and I simply found that both my skills and time were no match for what I wanted to do. Some projects were simply left for later times, such as a problematic 3D Rubiks Cube Game and expanding on my touchRibbon Application and 3D Menu.
After that project I planned a bigger setup: a 42 inch DSI projector coffee table. The setup utilized a short throw projector and mirror to make the height barely 17 inches from the floor. The setup is built and tested to work well. Because of the low height, the use of multiple cameras is needed, and at the time, there was no released multi-camera driver for the PS Eye Camera. Since then one has been released but I have been concentrating on other projects.
In the Spring of 2009, I decided to give back to the community. I began selling modified PS Eye cameras on my site here. At that time there was only one item for sale, a modified OEM mount camera with 850nm filter. The first month of sales showed me that people liked the idea of buying the modified cameras, so I expanded the available filter choices. In June 2009 I opened the Peau Productions Store with an assortment of cameras. I developed and manufactured a custom case for the cameras for my higher-end customers who wanted a more professional looking end
product with more adaptability than the OEM camera case. Over time, the store has expanded; adding items from major multitouch parts suppliers such as Environmentallights and Aixiz. Everything on the store is tested before being offered, so that my customers know that what they are buying are the best of the best.
I have since graduated from college with my Bachelors in BioEngineering:BioTechnology. I am running the store fulltime now and taking on consulting jobs as the industry has exploded with interest from many different areas. My store has grown very quickly, which has enabled me to hire a couple employees to help me out, especially for large orders. We work hard to get the orders out as quickly as possible to our customers.
I hope to keep helping people complete their often ambitious projects for many years to come.
